QB TT Fireblade
In the year 2000 the QB R71's of V&M Racing and Temple Auto Salvage dominated pure road racing at both the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT overshadowing Honda's flagship sportsbike the Fireblade, with Honda's TT honour at stake it was clear that something needed to be done. Enter The TT Fireblade -
Just one look shows that this Fireblade built for racer John McGuinness to ride at the 2001 Isle of Man TT Races, is far from ordinary. Featuring our lightweight CRR600 style carbonfibre bodywork used for its smaller frontal area and ready made ram-air slots matched to our fully pressurised carbonfibre ram-airbox designed and built from information supplied by Honda Japan. This Fireblade looks as far removed from the standard bike as is possible and with a specification that puts many superbikes to shame, this bike was built to win. With cancellation in 2001 of both the North West 200 road race in Ireland and the Isle of Man TT due to Foot and Mouth disease, it was later in the year at the Macau GP that John McGuinness took the win that the TT Fireblade deserved.
