CapIt have developed a range of professional tyre warmers and accessories in collaboration with some of the biggest race teams in the world.

Their new patented Full Warm system warms a 40% larger surface area than traditional tyre warmers and provides a constant and uniform temperature on the tyre in just 20 minutes. This is achieved by weaving a special warming cable every 5mm on a highly thermo-conductive fabric. Traditional tyre warmers, with their wire spaced at least 10mm apart, can take up to 90 minutes to heat up and still not achieve the same results:

Tyre warmers might seem like a luxury, or not worth the investment if you only do the odd track day, but there are a number of compelling reasons in the long run they are an essential piece of kit:

• Better adhesion - Until tyres get up to the correct temperature, they are inflexible and the lack of grip can lead to sliding or even a crash. Going out on tyres at the correct temperature will give you better grip and confidence turning the bike into corners, accelerating progressively and allow you to be more in control.
  
  
• Improve your performance - By going out on preheated tyres, you will be able to put in faster lap times more quickly. For racers this saves valuable seconds and places in the first few laps. Track day enthusiasts will get more out of their day by not wasting up to 50% of their valuable laps warming up cold tyres.
  
  
• Make you tyres last longer - Warming up tyres on the road/track as opposed to going out with preheated tyres results in surface rubber being removed as the temperature rises. The discarded surface rubber forms little balls at the working edge. This Cold Tearing or Cold Shredding reduces the life of the tyre. Tyre warmers can pay for themselves by saving you the cost of several sets of tyres per season.

CapIt produce two ranges of tyre warmers aimed at different requirements and budgets. Common features:

• All tyre warmers are run from a 1.6m 240v power supply with a moulded rubber plug resistant to grease and oil (up to 200ºC).
• LED to show heating progress. Switches off when the recommended temperature of 78-80ºC is reached.

• Manufactured from strong nylon with surface silicone treatment to make them acid and dirt proof.
• CE marked and tested for 24 hours before going on sale.

Sport The Sport range of tyre warmers has a simple shape but performs excellently without any need for pull cords to hold the tyre warmer in its correct position. The series is aimed at club racers and track day enthusiasts, and warms tyres in under 30 minutes. Although this is CapIt's budget range it still incorporates many of the innovative features of the professional series, including the Full Warm system. . Colours available: Black, Red, Blue and Yellow.

Maxima The top of the range Maxima tyre warmers are used by 8 World Superbike teams and are the ultimate in efficiency and technical design, warming tyres in under 30 minutes. Aimed at professional race teams, or simply riders who want the best of the best, the Maxima tyre warmers are unique because of their lateral edges which ensure uniform heat transmission towards the wheels. In plain English, when you take off the tyre warmers the heat placed into the rims will help keep the tyres hot for longer. The Maxima has been designed with over 30 lateral seams for a perfect fit with total coverage of the tyre's rim, without any need for pull cords to hold the tyre warmer in its correct shape.
